Hello! My name is Riley Hughes, and I am a senior in the College of Public Health at the University of Georgia, majoring in Health Promotion, with minors in Health Policy & Management, Gerontology, and Global Health. I am passionate about creating person-centered care and improving health outcomes, particularly amongst older adults and people managing chronic illnesses. Throughout my time at UGA, I have developed a passion for healthcare management, and I am excited to pursue a career in such. My goal is to make an meaningful impact in the healthcare field by addressing disparities and creating a community where all patients feel cared for.
My experience spans both administrative and clerical environments, from supporting university records at the Office of the Registrar to managing patient care coordination at Integrate2 Physical Therapy. Through these roles, I have strengthened my skills in organization, communication, and problem-solving.
Beyond academics, I am actively involved in the College of Public Health’s Student Ambassador Program and community organizations, such as ESP, where I have developed meaningful relationships while contributing to creating an inclusive and safe environment.
Thank you for visiting my e-portfolio! I look forward to continuing my journey in public health and hope to positively change the healthcare world.
